If your grandfather was a child molester would you still want to find him?

My grandfather molested my aunt, but I still want to find him. My mom hasn't seen him since he divorced my grandmother when she was about two or three. I don't know what his life is now. He's 81. Is it horrible to want to have a relationship with him?
