If fantasy magic was real and widely used, do you think we would be less technologically advanced?

When you think about it, a lot of things that we use science for would be replaced by magical spells. For example, what Medicine or weapons do we have now that would match the things they could do with magic in fantasy settings like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter? We wouldn't need radiation therapy or atomic bombs, we would have spells for all that. What do you think?
