Court papers say he admitted to killing 31-year-old-Brenda Engh. The two were separating. On the night of Brenda's death, Engh went to the house to sign over custody of the child. Engh allegedly shot her more than once and left his daughter to fend for herself. Police found the child cold and covered with blood.
