Is it fair that something is ridiculed just because it's in the majority?

Christianity is the dominant religion in the Western world. However, with Ned Flanders, and the like, people always seem to be more than ready to make fun of it. What if a religion, or something else, that was in the minority made fun of? Does it make it any less right or wrong?
