For me, it was May, 1990. I was at the south end of the runway at CFB Namao, north of Edmonton. All the 'heavies' were leaving that day, after the two-day airshow [it used to be the largest 'pure-military' airshow in North America, until the Liberal government sacked it, and closed the base. A B-52G was taking off, and it was loaded with fuel, so they had to use the water-injection to boost the thrust. It passed directly over my head, about fifty feet up, and rattled my bones. Glorious!!
