When I was in the 6th grade, I was walking home from school one day when a car pulled up next to me. The driver asked me for directions and I told him I didn't know. He drove away, then came back a minute later and asked me if I wanted a ride home. I said no, and when I got home I told my parents. At the time I thought they were overreacting - They got really upset and called the police. Now it's chilling to think back to how close a call I actually had.
