When at work/school, are you required to lock your computer if you get up to leave it for a short period of time?

The first place I worked, if we didn't lock our computers we would get 'yelled' at by our boss. We're supposed to lock them at my current place of employment but since only the select employees that are supposed to be in my particular room to work have coded badges to the room, they don't make such a big deal of it.
