There have been many reports about the health benefits of green tea. Now science backs it up. Spanish and British scientists have discovered that green tea helps to prevent certain types of cancer. They say a substance called EGCG in green tea prevents cancer cells from growing. Green tea has five times as much EGCG than regular tea. Scientists hope to develop new anti-cancer drugs based on this substance. The study was published in the April issue of Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.
