When my little sister was in high school I'd come back home and I got to watch her fighting with my parents over every little thing. I could understand her wanting freedom but also understand why my parents were protective of her. My dad told me it's really tough to let go of your children and let them lead their own lives when you love them so much. It made me feel so bad for all the times I was a jerky teen because I understood just what he meant.
