PETERSBURG, Fla. -- January 4, 2004 -- USA Network and TV shopping network HSN have joined forces on the new, groundbreaking reality show 'Made in the U.S.A.,' in which America's undiscovered inventors and entrepreneurs will compete for an unparalleled chance of a lifetime to sell their invention on HSN, it was announced today by Jeff Wachtel, USA's Executive Vice President, original programming. Currently in production, the series is the first project picked up under the auspices of Libby Hansen, USA's recently appointed Vice President, Alternative Series and Specials. 'As we accelerate our efforts in the alternative arena, 'Made in the U.S.A.' is the perfect show for us,' said Wachtel. 'It's fun, it's aspirational and it speaks to the intelligence and inventiveness of our audience.
