Did America and Great Britain disgrace Palestine when they took a piece of their land and called it Israel, against their will?

Israel was made a country after WWII because no country would accept the Jews that had been freed from the concentration camps. As a result, America and England decided to take a piece of Palestine and give it to the Jews.
