A MAN who steers his car with his foot has passed his test and been told he can legally take to the road - at least for now. Mike Hamill, 46, has passed a re-test at the third attempt to prove he is safe. The driver waged a lengthy court battle after his original licence was revoked in 1991 when he lost the use of his arms through a brain condition. He defied officials and developed a unique style of driving using his bare feet to control the car - and says he has driven 90,000 miles in that manner without an accident. He now drives with the aid of a computer pad which enables him to use the indicators by pressing his head against the head rest of his seat. And despite being found guilty yesterday of driving while disqualified and without insurance last summer, he was able to get in his car outside court and legally drive home...
