Do you think hands-free cell phone usage while driving is safer than holding a cell phone while driving?

If anyone has seen different studies on this, feel free to share, but I don't think it's that much safer. I would think that trying to carry on a conversation with someone who isn't in the car would simply be distracting enough, regardless of whether one's hands are occupied or not.
