Solid state technology is rapidly becoming more efficient and affordable for general and task lighting applications. Most phosphor white LEDs are currently used in commercial applications, but many manufacturer's are developing a wide array of replacement lamps for residential use. If you don't currently use any LEDs, you probably will soon.
