Would you think it to be odd if someone not from the Midwest (US) claimed corn to be their favorite vegetable?

I started thinking about this yesterday. Corn is my favorite vegetable, I've grown up in what could be considered the Midwest, and I'm moving to Amherst, Massachusetts this summer.
