By getting rid of open primaries. The way I see it is, you have one vote. With that vote, you can either choose to support your candidate in your own party, or you could choose to hurt the other party, which would once again, in the general election, end up supporting your own candidate. What's wrong with either approach, and why does the government have any say in what you do with your vote? It's YOUR vote. And anyway, how is getting rid of open primaries going to stop people from changing their party and doing that anyway?
