If you were to meet your current best friend at a party, would you like him/her?

IF you met your best friend at a party(you had never met before), would you hit it off, or would one of you be completely annoyed? In other words, would your personalities still be compatable, or do you just accept the things your best friend does because you have become accustomed to them.
