Do you think that anti-President Bush rallies by celebrities will make a difference in the 2004 election?

Hottest Ticket in Hollywood: Hate Bush Rally The big bash is tonight. I'm talking about the gathering of anti-Bush elites in Hollywood [see article from the New York Post], in case you weren't invited. Since the event has been billed as 'a mandatory meeting to change the leadership in America in 200,' my first question is, 'Mandatory? For whom, and how exactly is that enforced?' I'm assuming it's one of those, 'if you ever want to work in this town again' situations... Those involved in the event aren't bothering to veil the subject matter: Hatred of George W. Bush. Not disagreement, not challenges, not areas of concern or debate. We're talking outright enmity of the Philistines-versus-Israelites variety. Of course, one of the event's organizers said she wouldn't necessarily characterize the gathering as being driven by hatred, but instead said that the evening will be devoted to strategy and fund-raising. Motivating the crowd is the (apparent) fact that right-wing extremists (i.e. anyone who doesn't embrace every aspect of liberal dogma) have 'seized power and are using their extremist agenda, and the government is no longer working for the people.' So what better way to save 'the people' from the dastardly clutches of extremism than to host a night of Bush-bashing in Tinseltown? It's so, y'know...mainstream.
