Police say woman faked daughter's abduction to teach lesson November 8, 2002, 8:15 AM SUMPTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A woman accused of staging a kidnapping to teach someone a lesson faces a hearing on charges she filed a fake police report. Morton, actually took the child to show Alexander the dangers of napping while baby-sitting. 'All proverbial heck broke loose because she wanted to teach him a lesson,' Rob Young, Sumpter Township's attorney, told The Detroit News for a story published Friday. 'You want to teach your hubby, boyfriend, spouse or significant other a lesson, you don't involve the entire southeast Michigan police force.'....
