The Pit and the Pendulum Another one of Poe's most famous stories. It is really very horrific! And graffic. Taking place during the infamous Spanish Inquisition, which ACTUALLY happened! (check google for more info on the Spanish Inquisition). No sufficient quote. Can be found in almost any book containing stories by Edgar Allan Poe. cool havent read this one yet but i will now, good quiz
