Its not a social network like Facebook, MySpace or Twitter. I personally say its more of a blog spot. But it also lets you create quizzes, links, and vote tolls, so I don't know exactly what kind of site it is.

I don't think its original intent was to pull people together, but it just sort of happened that way, mostly due to the Journals forum.
