No, I haven't, but I'm a firm believer in the "Don't knock it 'till you try it" rationale.

Offal is the entrails and internal organs of a butchered animal. The word does not refer to a particular list of organs, but includes most internal organs other than muscles or bones. Depending on the cultural context, offal may be considered as waste material that is thrown away, or as delicacies that command a high price.

Scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other scraps, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth. Once cooked, bones and fat are discarded, the meat is reserved, and (dry) cornmeal is boiled in the broth to make a mush. The meat, finely minced, is returned, and seasonings, typically sage, thyme, savory, and others are added. The mush is cast into loaves and allowed to cool thoroughly until gelled. The proportions and seasoning are very much a matter of the region and the cook's taste.

I didn't happen to try it when I was an omnivour, and of course, now, as a vegetarian, I would not try it.
However, IF I were still an omnivour, I would be willing to try it. There is nothing offensive, unclean, or 'disgusting' about it. It is a legitimate food use of an animal that has been killed for food - and it is far better to use every part of that animal than to throw away parts because they seem 'yucky'.

Where I live, people eat it all the time. It's a Pennsylvannia Dutch thing. I'm 75% PA Dutch but I personally can't stand it. The rest of my family loves it.

I rather enjoy it--I used to eat it often when I lived in PA. I wish I could find a source for it here in WI...

I think it's one of those things that sounds appalling, but is probably quite tasty. I'd try it.
