And the problem is the ID issue, the being patronised issue, etc (you prob know this because of your daughter)
Is she a tomboy like I am? If so I guess encourage her to dress smartly rather than just in jeans etc when she's going to be checked. Is she quite feminine? If so encourage her with makeup etc to look older.

I look younger than I am, most of the time. My daughter, I think, is too young to tell if she looks her age or not. She's pretty tall and everything for only being eighteen months old. |

Pozo - it is certainly a being patronised issue and the constant struggle to convince people she meets that she really is 15. She's rather feminine and tries to dress and use make up according to her age, but it's still a huge problem.

I would think that if they have some medical issues that it would be a problem. other than that, it's perfectly fine. Some people say i look 16 when i'm 14 and my aunt, who is 12 looks 8.

It's weird for me. When my hair was past the midpoint of my back when i was 13-15 i could go in bars and get offered drinks without being carded. But now that I am 21 and have very short hair, I always get carded asked my age to be sure I'm allowed to be in the establishment in question.

I'm not a parent, but I've always looked older than I really am. The fact that I'm 5'9", and I was always tall as a kid, never helped. If I ask random people to guess my age, they usually say somewhere between 17 and 20.

My daughter is 3 and she is quite tall and skinny and looks to be at least a year older than what she is. The fact that she still doesn't talk makes people stare and whisper about her even more. |

I am the child who looks younger... I'm 18 but can most of the time pass for much younger. There isn't really a lot you can do about it... carrying ID is always a good idea (handy for movies and stuff). Other than that... Though I have to say being told you'll "appreciate it when your older" is no help at all.

I'm 23 and still look 12 (I'm 4'11" with a very slight figure). It's an annoyance, at worst. Funny side effect is that I've become friends with just about every cop in town, because each of them has pulled me at least once thinking I was a kid who had stolen my parents' car. |

Reminds me of all the talk about Ellen Page, who looks like a teenager, but is actually in her twenties. I, on the otherhand, am told I look older than my age.
I have a friend though who looks at least three years younger. I think both can be sort of an annoyance. |
