help the person who had been hit. hopefully there would be more than one person around at the time, so the injured person could be cared for but also the driver could be followed.

I would help the person because if the person in the car is going to DO a hit and run...i dont think they would care about whacking you off.Save two people.

Depends on the scenario: If there was no one else around, I'd help the person who was hit. If there were others already tending to the victim, and I was already in my car, then I'd follow the assailant and get the plates for the cops. |

If you go for a car chase, although it would be fun, you could get in legal trouble along with the person who was involved with the accident. Also other witnesses seeing you drive off may mistake you for the person who hit and ran. Personally I would (if I saw the accident) see the licence plate and notify the person, see if they need help etc.

I think I would throw a sizeable brick at the runner's car...and then aid the injured by calling the police and doing the whole airplane motion thing to get cars around rather than over the injured.
