In my experience, xenophobia and racism often go together, but they aren't the same.

xenophobia dosent = racism cause it makes u fearful of foreners; racism makes u belive urself superior. they could overlap, but they don't have to by definition.

There are technically only THREE different RACES in our world, while there are numerous ethnicities and cultures. These two things differ greatly on the technical level, but in that they both deal with the idea of hating people that are different than you based solely on where they come from, they are similar. I would never call them equal, however, just similar.
