I still remember when seeing a computer was a neatest thing in the world. When the internet became more available and easier to use I jumped on that also. I do however miss hand written letters, more visits from friends and family, and everything in between. The way of life certainly has changed for those who have adapted the internet into their lives. It's came in handy for research, investigation, insurance quotes, quick responses from businesses, paying bills, and finding a date for saturday night. Then again it's also became a criminals playground. Tapping into private information, scamming the innocent, and kidnapping that little girl down the street after a few shared online messages. Another question you might ask is "is the internet more good or more evil? I belive I could just as easily go back to the simplicity of things and ditch my computer altogether. Though, I'd miss all those email jokes, and setting up chess games with someone half way around the world.

I remember when we first got internet access at me house. I was a bookworm-ish kid and I absolutely refused to research online. I treasured my encyclopedias deeply. Now, however... I love being able to chat with my friends and go to crazy sites and read cool stuff that otherwise you wouldn't find elsewhere. And it's convenient. But it's also scary. I almost had a nervous breakdown last year because my comp had spyware and I was afraid other people got my debit card number and everything. Hacking is a seriously scary invasion of privacy.

the first computer-like thing to come into my house was a thing that Texas Instruments put out, that sold at Radio Shack. It was a keyboard and a cassette player that hooked up to the tv with games... The internet was way later.
