No. I've learned plenty of things that I didn't really want to know.

All knowledge is good. Just because you learn something like safe cracking doesn't mean you will turn into a criminal. What if you are a safe maker? If you know how to crack them you can make them crack proof.

I agree with Wolph. All knowledge is good, sometimes people just choose to do ungood things with the knowledge.

No, sometimes one can only learn one's lesson by making mistakes.

Yes. Even if it's a hard lesson learned. You still learned from the experience.

No. Not all learning is the accumulation of knowledge. You learn behaviors as well and they don't have to be good or positive. Many people learn racism from their family/parents as children. How does that make you a better person?

I learned, once again, that going to the bar without eating dinner is a bad plan. While I enjoyed the lesson last night, I'm not so sure this morning. . . ugh.. is it afternoon already? yeah.

I think we have a missunderstanding here. Some people are refering to knowledge as all exeperiences. Some people are refering to knowledge as behaviors and information. Some persons are refering to it just information. It would be beneficial if everyone specified what they consider knowledge to be.

People are using "knowledge" and "experience" interchangeably for "learning," and neither is a perfect fit. I guess you could define "learning" as "the acquisition of knowledge," but many people would also suggest that such acquisition cannot occur in a vaccuum, that it inherently includes some amount of experience. If it were possible to learn without experience, it would not in and of itself be a bad thing, but I don't believe that's possible. I must therefore say that not all learning is good, as the pursuit of it can compromise that which is good and the experience of it is clearly not always good.

Sure. The more you know, the better. Its HOW you use your knowledge that can be bad.
