I think you've got your pictures mixed up. Is a wafer cone the same thing as a waffle cone?

No, it isn't. Those waffle cones are more like sugar cones. Wafer type cones kind of taste like the wafers they make those vanilla wafer cookies out of. You know the kind I mean, right?

I think the term is "cake cone" and it's generally cardboardier than the others.

She's right, its a wafer cone. You're right too, they are "cardboardier" than the others

I'm often right, second only to you

I like the sugar cone better. The cake cones often have a stale texture.

My favorite is a waffle cone, though. And they smell good.

Oh ok, now I remember. Right, those are called sugar cones. But then... what do I call the ones on the left? I've never called them a wafer cone before. And I would describe their texture/taste as more styrofoamy, whereas a cheap sugar cone is cardboardy.

Out of those, definitely the sugar cone.

But waffle cones are best of all.

That's right! Cake cones! How could I forget? When I was a kid I used to love those cake treats that came in them. And they do sometimes taste stale, but I actually kind of like them at DQ. They seem to have a unique flavor to them.

Was it fun? Did you get free ice crème? Which one did you work for?

Sugar cones have more flavor and they hold more ice cream, but I still enjoy cake cones, especially for soft serve.

That's why I like the sugar cones. My mom actually doesn't like those.

Waker.

Soft serve just isn't the same without a wafer cone.

Sugar cones are more suited to fruity flavors, or sorbet or sherbet.

Never mattered much to me, although I've found if I'm getting a fairly large ice cream serving, the sugar cone is a little too small to hold it.

I was such an emotional wreck throughout high school that it was a frightful adventure soothed only by my boss allowing me to play my iPod over the radio.

I blame it, for the purposes of this sentence, for developing my manic depression. I wasn't able to relax under the constant gaze of hungry customers and the relentless scrutiny of my coworkers. I think I broke my heart over those freezers.

It was a really cool local ice cream shop that you've probably never heard of.
