I've been to both!
TX would be the answer for me. I actually really loved Plano, which is near Dallas. The people in TX are a lot like the people here. Southern charm and hospitality.
PA, not so much. But it is close to NY which is cool. Now my Nephew lives in PA and won't come back to TN. So I guess it can't be too bad.

Pennsylvania. I wouldn't want to go to Plano. The only people I know that live there are very naive weaselvcks who can't think for themselves and are easily manipulated

Anywhere but Texas. I really hate Texas.

Texas has more appeal for me. I don't think I could ever handle living in PA for all of the people who pronounce water as 'wuddah'.

Well, I haven't really seen much of Texas. I do love PA. But there are a LOT of hills to drive or walk up and down. That can be rough on a vehicle and definitely tiring when walking. I imagine TX is more flat.

I'd choose Pennsylvania before some other areas of my country.
Texas rates just above North Korea.

it's a pretty hilly state
the further west you go, the more mountainous it gets

I live in Pennsylvania. This state is annoyingly huge. I live and have grown up here but I haven't been anywhere further than Erie. It's easy to forget that Pittsburgh isn't the center of this state. The weather here sucks and most of the interesting places are on the other side of the state. But, it's not a bad place to live.
I've never been to Texas, so I can't judge. I've always wanted to live somewhere closer to the ocean (Gulf of Mexico) and the weather there is nicer.

I live in PA and it's pretty cool.
The only reasons I wouldn't live in texas is the heat and open country. And country in general. For some reason I have a grudge against the country genre, from the music to the cowboy hats. So texas is out.
In PA we have seasons and not too many natural disasters. Eh, not too exciting, but its a place to live.

You've got Kennywood. What more do you need?

You've been to Kennywood?!
I love Kennywood. Unfortunately, I can't go all the time.

Many times, though I haven't been there for quite a few years. I've had family in Pittsburgh, but now I really don't have anyone to stay with since my grandma's now in assisted living. Other family either doesn't have the space or I'm not close enough to them to go imposing on them to put me up. But I've loved Kennywood every time. My mom even worked there when she was young!

Are you going to share an opinion on this, OP? I would guess Pennsylvania just because the many people I've met from that place seem like a better match for me than the very few Texans I've met.

I've lived in both. Texas hands down.
I've lived in several places in Eastern PA. The people in PA think they are friendly. But really they are minimally surface friendly to strangers (New Yorkers, in their minds) and a stranger would be anyone who's grandfather wasn't born 'around here'. Me, and many other transplants in each area I lived in noted how incredibly difficult it is to break into the social circles in PA.
Texas is just plain not like that. Some of the friendliest and caring people I've ever met.

Texas. I used to live in Arizona so the heat doesn't really bother me that much.

And I imagine that in some areas in Texas people aren't as polite as they are in other areas.
I do think that Pittsburghers care way too much about their football team. That's what I hate most about my city.
