Skyrim Players: The Dark Brotherhood or The Thieves` Guild? Which faction of thieves do you like more? Which one did you join? Keep in mind that the Nightingales are part of the Thieves` Guild.

Just from an outsider's point of view, it seems that the Brotherhood is more about killing and assassinations while the Thieve's Guild is more about stealing and robberies.

The brotherhood plot is hokey, and everything about them is blatantly cheesy, but it's got some great missions from just a fun factor stand point, and even though I find them dopey, they're far from one if the worst elements of the game.

Especially Cicero. Although in Oblivion I thought the Dark Brotherhood had the best questline.

And as another poster indicated, why not both? But I did feel the brotherhood tried sooo hard to be spooky that it just ended up sounding dumb.
