I can't stand Obama, I'd rather vote for Palin
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 2:50:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
I voted for Obama, and will again in 2012.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 2:53:59 PM EST (GMT-5)
It like asking someone "Would you rather get drating in the ass, or the mouth?"
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 3:33:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
Between those two?

Obama.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 4:17:33 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd sleep with one and vote for the other.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 4:28:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
Since Palin believes dinosaurs and humans existed at the same time, I'd have to vote for her. It would be a hell of a ride.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 4:29:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
Sarah Palin's a f*cking moron, so I would vote for ANYONE other than her.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 6:14:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
I want so much for the GOP to pick Palin as their candidate in '12...
Actually, no, I'd rather they pick a more moderate Republican I'm not as scared of, but then have Palin run as a 3rd party candidate that sucks off 1/3 of that guy's votes.

I suspect I'll be voting for Obama regardless.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 6:16:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
Please no Sarah.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 6:36:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well, seeing as it's not my country so I don't have to care how screwed up it'll be, I think I'd vote for Sarah Palin.

^for this reason, and this reason only.

I would vote for whoever will get us out of these wars.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/21/10 - 6:45:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
Out of only those two I would vote for Obama.

But luckily Republicans and Democrats are not the only choices.

VOTE THIRD PARTY

No question Obama. But I'm not a Democrat, just don't think Palin has the intelligence or experience for the job. Donald Trump on the other hand...

Barack "Who's Sane" Obama. He's my socialist overlord, says the trolltard.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 9:54:49 AM EST (GMT-5)
I hate Obama, with the buring passion of 1,000 Arabian suns.
I don't hate Sarah Palin, but I dont think she'd make a very stellar president.
I agree with buddy's comment on Donald Trump. I think America needs a "business" man in office.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 10:12:07 AM EST (GMT-5)
I never understood how people can think one could run a nation like a business.

Not that Obama is a saint or anything.

But I just can't get over the fact that this is even a real question to some people.

There are perfectly fine Republicans to consider for running against Obama in 2012. None of them are Sarah Palin though.

I don't know if it's because US voters get some sort of super-filtered view of her through their media or something, but it seems obvious to me that this woman doesn't know the first thing about....well, much of anything. She talks from a script, is completely unable to answer any significant question off the cuff, etc.

Obama has been a refreshing change from the Bush years. Like I said, not perfect, but at least seems like a "real" president who knows what the hell he's talking about most of the time.

I disagree with McCain on a lot of major issues, but I could at least take him seriously as a potential president.

This also.

Running a nation may require many of the same qualities as running a nation. Intelligence, diligence, people skills and the ability to work very hard for long periods. But it is not the same thing. You need very different approaches, the solutions and basic principles are different.

The main difference is that profit is not always the bottom line in government. The post office may be run at a loss, because having it makes many other parts of society work better, for example.

As an added headache, a businessman will have connections, alliances and animosities with the business world that a president should not have.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 1:22:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
There are many similarities between running the country and running a business. Both require you to manage money and juggle resources. Both require you to manage people. Both require you to be a cheerleader. Both require above average intelligence in order to make the tough decisions.

In the business world you are battling other businesses that are trying to destroy you. As a president, you SOMETIMES need to battle other countries that are trying to destroy you.

Here are few of the promises/pledges Obama made as a candidate and not kept:

Introduce a comprehensive immigration bill in the first year
Create a public option health plan for a new National Health Insurance Exchange.
Allow bankruptcy judges to modify terms of a home mortgage
Double funding for afterschool programs
Allow five days of public comment before signing bills
Allow imported prescription drugs
End income tax for seniors making less than $50,000

And you thought it woulf happen like magic in a couple of years.

Those are intentions, but the political system in America is explicitly designed to make any sort of change very difficult
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 1:54:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
I thought he was different and like many others was disappointed. These wernt intentions, they were pledges/promises made if he became President
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 1:56:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
if i were forced to choose between the two, sarah palin for sure. but realistically, i'd go with mitt romney.
11 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 11/22/10 - 2:06:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
If I had the choice between taking a sledge hammer to the face and Sarah Palin, I'd choose the sledge hammer. If I was told that I had to vote for Sarah Palin or get castrated, I'd volunteer to be castrated. If I had to choose between Sarah Palin and going to Guantanamo, Gitmo it is.

Anything, and I mean anything, is better than ever hearing from that stupid c*nt ever again.
