Unless I'm staying a week or more, which is rare, I just live out of the suitcase.

I'm too lazy to unpack it. Plus, I usually don't stay very long.

Really depends on how long I stay. When on business trips I usually only have small baggage with me, so no need to unpack. But if I stay for a couple of days you'll probably get the stuff out anyway when you want to use it so why not unpack in the beginning?

A mix of both, but mostly I unpack. I usually hang my clothes up for the next day and set my toiletries out on the counter.

I leave all my bathroom stuff out on the counter but I keep my clothes in my suitcase. I was charged a laundry fee one time becasue I left clothes out and housekeeping washed them and sent them back up to me along with a $20 fee.

I just take my bathroom stuff out, then just live out of my suitcase. I don't know anyone who actually unpacks thier entire suitcase...

I hang my shirts (to prevent wrinkles) and typically leave my toiletries in the bathroom.

I have never unpacked - too high a risk that I'll forget to pack it when I leave.

If I am only staying one night, I don't unpack. I unpack for vacations/longer stays. I will unpack when we move and are in a hotel for a week or two, waiting for our stuff. I unpacked for a week at the shore and for 2 weeks at Disney.

Depends on the length of stay at this location vs. how many total days I packed for. And the available space for my suitcase to lie open and the available drawer/closet space.
One given is that I will often unpack a shirt/jacket/pants that I plan on wear for a nice day/night out and hang them, even if I won't be wearing them at this particular stop.

We do a full room sweep when the bags are packed to make sure nothing was missed. It is part of a standard routine when traveling as a family, and something I'm fairly consistent about when traveling alone.

If staying long enough to unpack, I'll usually unpack and repack as I wear/dirty the clothes. Ideally, at the end of the trip I have a suitcase full of dirty clothes and nothing left to pack (aside from my toiletries bag).

since we're always on the move in europe, i live out of my suitcase. one night we're in france, next night we might find ourselves in another country, so it's been pretty much the status quo for me.

Always live out of it, because if you start unpacking things, thats how you start losing things and forgetting them when you leave.

I put my suitcase on the rack in the closet, and hang up ONLY the clothes that wrinkle.

Only 9% of people agree with me.
Well, it depends on how long I'm staying.
Overnight, no.
Longer, yes.

I leave my stuff in my suitcase. I don't want to put it into the drawers...I don't know what has been in those drawers.
