No! As long as BP is using all their resources to clean it up, a law suit would only slow down the process.
After the fact, the US needs to sue BP for damages to the Shrimping Industry! I will not feel safe eating Shrimp for YEARS!

I'm sure that I heard that BP has already come out and said that they were paying for the cost of everything.

Approximately 70 percent of US seafood is brought ashore in the affected area, according to an expert quoted on the local news. It's not just shrimp you're going to be missing.

I think they should only sue them if they refuse to clean it up themselves. I can see why the government would sue though.

lol, I'll give them that, I'll let them keep their "We did all we could after the spill" argument, if they are willing to concede that it was their horrible job that lead to the spill in the first place, and that they still owe us BIG for that...

Never going to happen kiki.
Know why? America would find itself even deeper in the sh*t than it is already if they put BP out of business.
39% of BP shares are American owned, and much of that is invested in pensions.
Consider that before you go rubbing your hands with glee at the thought of them being fined a bjillion dollars.

No, they should seize all of BP's assets.
