No. I'd go to change the radio station or something and crash.

Harold, do you answer questions out of duty or boredom at this point?

Boredom. I should be studying for my last final exam.

The technology seems cool, but I it's hard to imagine it out in the real world.
It would be too easy for someone to hear a noise and quickly look in that direction. And if there was something in place to prevent the car overreacting that way, what about situations where a driver has to swerve quickly to avoid hitting a child who runs in to the road?
And relying on sensors to assist seems kind of unreliable to me. What kind of effect would mud have on sensors? What about rain? How sensitive are the sensors?
It would be cool to have those sensors to assist driving by hand, but driving by eyes and sensors seems a little too risky. Although perhaps people driving by hand would rely to much on sensors and more accidents would result.
It just doesn't seem practical, but it might be fun to try it on a controlled course.

Nah, I'd be all over the road because I look everywhere when I am driving.

There's be a lot more women wearing the full burqa if such cars became popular with young men.

Hecks nah. I'm not always looking at the road and if you're looking at the steering wheel can you even see the road? And like, hell, who's that lazy? And what if someone has a lazy eye?(I suppose they wouldn't get one but just saying)
I agree with what Courtbebe said, doesn't seem practical.

As everyone should. You're not supposed to stare only at the road when driving. Seems like an awful idea to me.

I don't think that would be very safe. I would probably run over countless small children and animals, not to mention crossing over to the other side of the road and being hit by oncoming traffic.
In fact, I can't see a good reason to implement this sort of technology in drving at all.

This sounds like one of the worst ideas ever. I'd rather have something to physically turn.

Terrible idea. It's necessary to be able to see objects that are not directly in front of you and you aren't travelling towards when driving.

I don't think that's such a hot idea. When you're driving, you need to watch all around you, not just the direction you're going. You have to keep checking your rear view, and side views. And I don't even want to think what kind of accident would happen when you go to look over your shoulder to change lanes!

No, if you see an accident happening, you wouldn't want to steer towards it.

I think I would. Although i have a slight touch of ADHD, so umm.... yeah. Shiny, possibly lethal things would probably screw me over.

You would have to have an insane amount of focus to be able to use it. they should have a race using this tech. total carnage...

Reminds me of an insane episode of "Cow and Chicken" where Chicken rides a bumper car and shows off his ability to 'steer with his eyeballs' in which his eyes were grossly elongated out of his head and he used them to steer.

I'd like to be able to steer based on something not completely essential to EVERYTHING else I'm going to be doing

Definitely. It might be easier for me considering I am terrified of driving.
