Should crimes against homeless people be called hate crimes? A hate crime is an attack on an individual solely because of that individual's perceived membership in a group, be it ethnic, religious, disability or sexual orientation. Current federal laws do not include the homeless under hate crime protection. Actually people do target homelss people because they see them as an underclass, subhuman. Like the guys in The Fisher King who think that they are cleaning up the city by harrassing them. Setting fire to homeless people's sleeping bags is not uncommon. There's another aspect though, inter homeless crime, like an homeless mafia who "tax" the beggers on the most profitable spots and even charge rent for the best places to sleep.

Let's see what can I talk about. Guess you may have seen my post about the gorilla the scientist are teaching that it will die one day. Tax dollars folks yours,mine all except the ones who don't work for a living. Well seems they believe the gorilla will be come an alcoholic and one day commit suicide. Maybe the Moslims could strap bombs to their backs . Just a thought. Bet they are training Gorilla's to do just that. Better call homeland security to watch for suicidal gorillas.
