Of course. I have Albert (parrot), Abbey (dog), Samantha (dog), Cassy (cat), Emily (cat), Guinevere (cat), Bianca (rat), Freya (rat), Oscar (guinea pig), Felix (guinea pig), and Phineas (Betta fish). The rest have non-human names.

And then I had a hamster named Digger.

My 'rents have a dog named Jack, but they got him from a rescue place, so he was already named.

My rabbit's name is Sonny. I suppose it could be a human name.

Yes. Holly and Heidi are our dogs. We have horses, too...Sara and Cleo. My other horse's name is Rebel and I don't know of any human going by that name. I've only named the dogs, though. When each horse was bought, they already were named.

a kid I went to school with was called Spanky from (at least) fourth grade up until graduation...even some of the teachers called him it. it was one of those that we have to think, "wait, what's Spanky's REAL name?'
