It may be as big a force (in terms of people) as the tea parties, but it is nowhere close in terms of exposure. That is, my first exposure was on YouThink.

The Tea Party is only a force because the Democrats condemn them so much. It is the same way with Sarah Palin.
If they would just shut up about them these people wouldn't be nearly as strong.

^^^ Since we elect them every 4 years.
Collective will - not individual will.

the problem with that is that we usually already don't like those that have chosen to run for office in the first place
American elections are like asking a vegetarian if they want prime rib or pork chops

So far, the tea party doesn't seem to be much of a force. My guess is that each will turn out to be a farce.

While I personally agree - I usually vote for the least objectionable candidate - somebody's giving the money to run with.
Admittedly, a lot of it comes from big business, but we don't object very strongly. Certainly not strongly enough to get the laws changed.

so you'd rather have the government control every aspect of your own lives? at least the tea party movement is standing up to him. most spineless liberals take his word as gospel. if obama asked a liberal to jump off of a bridge, they would probably do it.

never. despite the governments best efforts we aren't socialists yet. most of america still has the virtue of common sense and knows that once the government takes complete control of buisness its all over.

I hadn't paid much attention to the "tea party" movement, but since people seem to be interested, it seems it's founder, Dick Armey, used to be a lobbyist for the Mujahideen-e-khalq, pushing to get them off the State Department's list of terrorist organizations, and trying to get public money for them. Maybe the federal government is correct in linking the right wing to terrorism. Link.

No, I don't think there will ever be a strong third party in the U.S. but i definitely support they're mission statement. Both the republicans and the democrats need to learn to play nice together. Nothing is as black and white as they try to make it. Every issue is a shade of gray and they need to learn that and work together instead of making life miserable for the moderates, which is most of the normal, non politician Americans.
