Not at all.
I just realized the manager at my local Chick-fil-a always says "Have a blessed day". I knew it was a Christian owned chain, but I never put two and two together.

In and Out is Christian?
And no, well wishing, religious or otherwise, never bothers me. If they evangelized, though, I wouldn't return.

I don't see what the big deal is- - it isn't like they are invoking the power of their gods to curse me...

How dare they ask God to bless me!!!
Don't they know that blessing an atheist is like cursing a christian?

I wouldn't care about it. But I don't go to Chick-Fil-A. They do a lot of work with and donate a lot of money to Focus on the Family, which I don't support.

People who get offended by being blessed by others need to pull the stick out of their behind and ask to be sent to hell instead.

On October 30th of this year, I checked out some movies at the library. The woman behind the counter said "May God bless you this weekend."
At first, being very anti-christian, I was offended. Then I figured "hey, she's just wishing me well, let's return the favor." So I said "yes, and may the goddess bestow her ample blessings to you on this fruitful holiday."
judging by the look on her face at that point, I don't think she liked that very much. Makes me wonder what gets into people.

I used to work with a woman who got complaints from customers all the time... When someone sneezed, she'd say, "God bless you." And no one complained about that. It was the next thing she'd say: "No one else will."
Even Christians were complaining about it.

For goodness sake, even if you're not a Christian, can't you take that as a compliment that they want God to bless you?

no I would think it a bit odd if I didn't know it was a Christian company and I wouldn't recommend any mainstream restaurants in England start doing it but I wouldn't be offended

This.
The gesture is nice, but they're representing their company with a religion that the company does not associate with. I wonder how people would feel if a Islamic worker said "May Allah bless you".

Since Allah = God, there shouldn't be any difference...

Uhh, Chick-Fil-A is associated with Christianity. They don't hide it.

Not everyone considers every god to be the same god.

I've never seen advertised evidence of this, but I don't spend my free time looking up companies associated with religions, so I wouldn't know.

uh, anyone with even a marginal understanding of christian and muslim theology knows that Allah and God are referring to the same Deity

He is correct^^^
"Allah" and "God" both refer to the god of Abraham. This same God is common to Islam, Judaism and Christianity...

A bit.
It would just be an empty gesture. Like "Have a good day."; it wouldn't have any impact. They're just saying it because they're Christians and 'that's what Christians do'.
Sort of like having 'In God We Trust' on the dollar bill. It trivializes the statement since you hear it so often.

Wouldn't bother me. Like... its the thought you know?
Its like somebody wishing you Merry Christmas if you don't celebrate it. They're just being nice. They don't need to hear your life story - just say thanks.
