No. I think it's arrogant if married people to think they hold the patent on left-handed rings.
But I doubt many do. Just the freaks who also think it's weird to never marry at all, or that it's selfish to not have kids.

Not at all. Any finger will do for ring wearing.

Girls, not really. I just notice they're wearing rings and don't overanalyze which finger.
A single guy with a gold band on his lefty might grab my attention, since it's a rarity.

That's like assuming one is not gay when wearing a pink shirt.

I have a pretty silver claddagh ring that I wear on that finger, but heart facing out (facing in means your taken). Doesn't seem to bother anyone except my mom, and certainly doesn't stop guys from hitting on me.

I know guys who wear rings so girls will hit on them (whether they are married or not...), girls who wear them so they can turn down a guy if they want to without hurting his feelings, so it doesnt really mean much and I hardly ever notice/think anything of it if I do.
I think I would notice that more with guys, as they are less likely to wear a random ring- usually if a guy is wearing a ring its either a class ring, something to do with sports, a wedding ring or those chastity/purity/whatever rings.

It's a little confusing when it's a ring that looks wedding ring-esque, but I don't think it's especially strange.

I think it's a little odd. I mean there are nine other fingers to choose. Unless you actually want people to think you're married, why not choose one of those fingers?
