Now, that I have a key, a resounding Yes. I have this new sense of elitism and would like to exclude the teeming plebian masses.

I've always thought they should

Pointless.

I don't see what purpose it would serve, other than simply for the sake of having one. I don't think theres much independent commonality amongst key members, other than that they can be arsed to shell out for it, or befriended someone who did/won it.

The O.S. forum, either by cause or correlation, tends to have members who have a) been on the site a lot longer and are more known/trusted and b) are probably on average a little older that the general membership, so tend to be more experienced in the kinds of things people ask about in there (jobs, family etc.). There might be some overlap with that and a key member forum, to have both would probably be redundant, and the O.S. forum is probably better at doing whatever common purpose/expectation they would share..

does anyone really care about keys? I mean, I like having one, but I never notice if other people have them - much less have any special familiarity with them.

I used to think this to be a completely pointless idea. Now I can see a use for it since most 13-17 attention whores with no comprehensive grasp of English do not have keys it could serve some purpose. So long as the right people go into it t give it life.

Still though, it for the most part is pointless.
