Yes, its also called a Churiscaria. So yummy. There used to be a locally famous one called GreenFeild's. The food was soooooo good, and it was all you could eat, but it was expensive.

For people who havent seen one, its just a steakhouse where you start with this huge buffet, then the waiter brings around a bunch of different kinds of meat to your table, one at a time, and asks if you want to try it, then cuts you a piece. Tritip, roast, pork, sirloin, london broil, you name it...even alligator!

How is a Brazilian steakhouse different from a regular steakhouse. I've never been to one either. Just places like Outback, Roadhouse, and Texas Roadhouse.

Sounds interesting. Do they cook the meat at your table kind of like when they cook at a Japanese restaurant? That's the only thing that wasn't clear. Also sounds like it's all you can eat.
9 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 2/21/13 - 6:44:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, it is all you can eat. They bring the side dishes to your table and it is only the salad bar that you have to get up and fix your own plate for.

The meat is already cooked. They just walk around with these giant slabs of meat and as long as your card is turned to the green side, they will stop and carve off the meat for you. And they do have medium rare, well done, etc if I recall correctly because I had to wait once for them to get the one I wanted.

Just if you ever go to one, be wary of ordering the Brazil soda pop. They will tell you it is like ginger ale and the novelty of it is nice. But it is very expensive and they didn't give refills for free. We ended up ordering a lot of it because my Husband drinks like three or four cans of the stuff and it drove our tab way up. They were charging like $7/can of it. We found out later we could order it online for $2.50/can.
