No, not at all.
There is no correct 'effeminate' or 'masculine' way for a man to obtain a tan - and whatever method enables him to look good and enjoy lots of sexual encounters, all the best to him.

Yes...It's a form of personal grooming, like waxing your eyebrows or putting on makeup, so it is kind of feminine.

I wouldn't say its effeminate, but its definitely very metrosexual. Also WLS1 is quite correct, tanning is a pointless waste of time and money.

Not effeminate, just stupid.
Go ahead and turn orange or red, you'll look ridiculous.

I think tanning beds are fine, but men who get spray tans (unless it's to be in a movie or something) are ridiculous.

I personally don't find tanned skin that attractive. I've seen some awful spray tans and then there are the health risks associated with tanning beds.
If you manage to achieve a natural-looking tan then good for you. I just think it isn't worth the bother.

I don't really like tans on anyone. A lot of them look fake to me.

Yeah, I think caring how you look is more feminine than masculine.

Having a beard is not caring about your looks, right?
Like I’ve got minor neck beard going on.

Depends how long you spend grooming it.

Weekly/bi-weekly.
The neck weekly and trimmers or scissors every couple of weeks.

I just look at anyone gets fake tans as someone focused on their appearance, whether due to their profession or personality or both.
I don't really like the concept of the stereotypes of feminine and masculine.
Its definitely a behavior related to self-grooming that women do more than men though.
