Usually Ice Tea.

Iced Tead is the term I reserve for when Vanilla Ice and Mr. T double team someone.

13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 2:31:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
Ice tea
Iced tea sounds like a posh way of saying it to me (no offence people who say iced)
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 2:36:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
Iced tea.
Because it's tea that is iced.
I never realized how many people say it the other way though, until I saw this question and started thinking about it.

Do you also say iced cream?
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 3:23:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
You don't add ice to the cream to get ice cream. You freeze it, which I see as fundamentally different from adding ice to a liquid to get the desired effect.
Therefore it is ice cream, and not iced cream.
Adding ice to a cup full of cream would cause me to call that concoction iced cream.

I always thought it was "Iced Tea" . . .
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 3:36:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't add ice to my ice tea. I just drink it cold from the fridge.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 3:37:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
I mean to say iced, but I speak very quickly, and so it usually sounds like I'm saying just ice.

Same, I say "iced tea" but the d and t kind of blur together so it sounds like ice tea.

ice tea, iced tea, i miss sweet tea.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 10:03:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
Iced tea ... I've never heard anyone say different
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 11:07:59 PM EST (GMT-5)
Iced tea. Same concept as iced coffee really.

I cringe every time I hear 'ice taaaaay' in a ridiculous redneck accent. And I'm from the south...
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 5/13/09 - 11:45:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
Iced tea....it's funny someone should ask this because I just recently had a conversation with my husband about how some people say ice tea and it's incorrect. I've even seen restaurants advertise ice tea.
