You want a piece of art, but cannot afford the original work. Would you rather have a poster of the artwork, or a painted replication?

A poster and then get it framed.

A poster. At least that way it's exactly like the original, whereas a painted replica would likely be slightly different.

Unclear on the concept...

What's a replication, and how does it differ from a poster?

Wouldn't a poster be a replication?

I guess the painting replication would be done on a canvas so I suppose it'd be fancier than a poster replication.

For me it would depend on what kind of style I want the room I'm decorating to be. If I wanted some fancy-shmancy room, I'd go with the painting. Otherwise, I'll take a poster.

Yeah that. I like the posters - all the art in our house is posters or prints. My husband thinks it would be cool to have a painted replica, but I don't think I'd like that.

Either one.

I wouldn't want an original at all...

so a poster would be just dandy.
