The internets seem to be making more sales than the malls lately. The malls aren't going to remain open just to accommodate all the teens hanging around and causing trouble...

No, eventually they probably will be, but I don't see that happening for a long time.
They'll probably downsize considerably, but obsolete is a big stretch.

Maybe in small towns with a smaller clientelle. I don't see this happening in a larger customer base

Around here the malls are still really busy, but they've changed. There are fewer, bigger stores instead of lots of small ones like there used to be.
