Ugh I should have put that in with Truckin! I do like the song, but it was overplayed/over-covered

^^Excellent selections. Box of Rain would definitely be my second favorite. Uncle John's band definitely top 5.

I don't listen to them often enough to have a favorite.
I couldn't even name any of their songs besides the ones mentioned already in the thread.

I have yet to get into the Grateful Dead. I know, I suck at being a hippie.

Dipsh*t.
The only "hit" The Dead ever had was "Touch of Grey."
My two favorites, if forced to choose, are probably "Uncle John's Band" and "Shakedown Street."

Today it's "Morning Dew."
I was at the concert where they broke out "Casey Jones" for the first time in 7 years (RFK, '92). It was pretty cool.

Actually, 'Truckin' was a hit too. But I meant a hit among Deadheads obviously - they've never been taken seriously by mainstream music.

They are completely different songs.
MTB
GD In concert, the Dead always did it as a blend, right after "Scarlet Begonias." They always went straight into "Fire on the Mt" from "Scarlet Begonias." Set lists often abbreviated them as "Scarlet -> Fire."

Actually, you are wrong. Touch of Grey was the only top 40 hit they ever had.
