Orgasm and childbirth are not two words you expect to find in the same sentence. But, as implausible as it may sound, increasing numbers of mothers are signing up to the Orgasmic Birth movement. Childbirth, they claim, far from being a painful ordeal to endure, can be as ecstatic and pleasurable as the moment of conception itself. Now, with the release of two new documentary films in America depicting orgasmic births, and websites awash with first-hand accounts from women claiming similar experiences, are we about to lift the lid on this taboo?

Women: Would you want to have an orgasmic childbirth?

It's the pressure of the child against the g-spot that causes it.

Also I've heard that the more g-spot orgasms a woman has had in her life the less painful the child birthing process becomes.

There's actually been an arguement made by some ob-gyns for a long time that the preconcieved fear of childbirth actually causes painful deliveries. Women are told their whole lives that having babies hurts, so when the moment comes they tense up and make things worse...

well, the thought of a son or daughter bringing his/her mother to orgasm seems a bit odd...but I imagine it beats the alternative.

From an evolutionary standpoint it makes sense that childbirth should be an enjoyable experience

Still, would you like to be the one in the delivery room saying "Hush now love, its all in your head"...

social conditioning or no, squeezing something out of a hole that is not normally even as big as the something...just sounds owie.

That's what I was thinking. If I had a kid I'd have a c-section so as not to ruin my lady bits, and I wouldn't breast feed because even that seems just ... odd to me. But if you're going to go through a vaginal delivery, having an orgasm sounds better than the normal screaming and clawing

Vaginas are mean to have babies. They aren't ruined by it. Yay, for unnecessary surgery and potentially putting lives at risk And nothing is odder than eating what nature gives you, clearly processed boxed food is much less odd.

I'd rather not spend money on these classes and just have the baby. I'm sure it hurts like hell. I've probably never been in so much pain. But I'm sure the end result is more than worth it.

I know vaginas are meant for it, but ... sometimes they have to cut your taint so you don't tear it up to your butthole, and it can BREAK BONES! My little sister broke my mom's tailbone on her way out. Unless the doctor said there was some risk if I did a c-section, which would be low, there's no way I'd have a baby the 'normal' way.

And breastfeeding - I just don't want a baby on my boob, and I've heard it really hurts and makes your nipples all calloused and stuff. Babies really f*ck your body up...

But they do say mother's milk is the best so maybe I would pump and feed with a bottle. But I'm not planning on having kids so I guess that's a moot point

Woah. That really weirded me out.
Umm...I don't think I'd do that. I'd probably get to distracted and forget to push or breath or something.
:D

"Oh by the way honey. I'm sure you've found this on the internet, but when you came out of me it was the best sexual experience I've ever had" THAT would be the MOST EPIC mother-daughter conversaion EVER!
13 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 4/2/09 - 4:22:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
childbirth is enough of an experience, and i sure as hell wouldn't want to look back and relate the birth of my kid to the feeling of sexual pleasure. there's just something really off about that.

Honestly.....this is fu**ed up. It's all out order - It should be sex, orgasm, then baby; not sex then orgasmic baby. That's just nasty.
