It's not like he shot the kid up with heroin.

No. It's funny. I bet the kid laughed about it when he saw it later.

I thought it was pretty funny ... I never saw the sequel where he's stumbling around the street though, where's that at?
The thought did cross my mind when I was watching it that it was a little strange and immature for him to tape it, but thinking about it, I may have done the same thing. It was cute and funny, it was from a legal drug a doctor gave him that wears off fast.

Videotaping it for private home use to laugh about it? No problem.
Make a public show out of his son without his permission? Despicable.

How do you know he didn't have the son's permission?
And why exactly is it despicable? Do you think his son is going to be harmed in any way by it? Will he need therapy to cope?

Clearly you have not met the Star Wars kid.

And clearly you didn't read the article because the kid in this case thinks it's funny.
And I bet the Star Wars kid had issues before the he became "famous".

The fact that this resolved itself well with a positive reaction from the kid does not mean that what the father did, not knowing what the consequences would be, was any better.
And even if he did get permission, an adult should know better than to throw his kid into the public spotlight like that.

It's funny. I doubt the kid really cares.

No, the fact that it's a minor thing meant only for amusement keeps it from being a serious thing.

Yes. I'm sure the whole thing will be sooooooo traumatic for him.
Seriously though, the parents posted a funny video online. There isn't anything embarrassing about it, not like the Star Wars video. It's just funny. They probably didn't expect it to become so popular, but it did and the kid thinks the whole thing is funny.
The only problem with the video comes from the people who have their panties all in a twist over it.

I think they're called "people who can see the big picture and actually have the imaginations that go beyond "lol, funny video what r the big dealz?""

Of course, that's exactly the way I feel about this video.

No. I don't. The kid was fine with it? It's fine.
It's really NOT a big deal and that article blows it out of proportion. And comparing a video of kids beating another kid on video to a kid on drugs after a dentist appointment freaking out is ridiculous. A far stretch. I don't really think the dad had internet stardom in mind at all.

If you're a complete moron.
I very clearly explained that I think that parents likely posted the video with innocent intentions. I also don't think there is anything bad about the video's content.
I don't think it will harm the kid in any way.
You also remind me of those people who get all pissed off when parents take naked pictures of their children.
It's definitely not a case of "lol, funny video what r the big dealz?"
But yeah, way to oversimplify my view. It really backs up your "big picture" argument, jackass.

I didn't say he didn't have innocent intentions, I said they could have harmful consequences. And this is not just speculation because it *does* happen.
And this is nothing like naked pictures, because those are for private family use, a distinction I made long ago.

Yeah, this was for private family use as well. Apparently they forgot to set something to private.
And the fact that something *could* have harmful consequences is sort of ridiculous because the odds that this video would become so popular are so small.
