I'm not sure about this one. I'm for abortion during the first trimester, but something about this just doesn't seem right. I think it's more of a private matter.

no, im not for abortions unless its for like really poor African people, reason why is... theres just so much you can do to prevent it... like there are both male and female condoms, theres pill the women can take, she can get her tubes tied and the list goes on... but if they dont do anything and she gets pregnant then its her own fault and she should give life to that baby and also the small, poor African countries that probably not many people have heard of, they dont have any of that and the birth rate is off the charts... and the Christian missionaries go there and tell them that its wrong to use a condom... so now std s are spreading like wild fire there too... but anyways, i dont think advertising abortions on television is not good

not all those pregnancy prevention methods are viable, take my fiancee for instance, she has a minor thyroid problem that prevents her from taking any sort of hormone supplements, so the pill is out, having her tubes tied or myself getting a vasectomy are too permanent of solutions, condom only average a 70-80% effectiveness rate, so having a fail safe option like abortions are a good thing

The decision to allow the advertisements or not should have nothing to do with supporting abortion.
If hospitals are allowed to advertise, then abortion clinics should be allowed to advertise.

Yes, the people who get raped undoubtedly have condoms, just in case. And they...

Abortion isn't birth control. If she needs something without hormones, tell her to get an IUD. Or back up the condom with a sponge.

Abortions should be actively encouraged for people with an IQ below 120.

I've seen lots of pro-life stuff around, so yeah. Either let both ways have a go or neither.

No. No no no no no no no.
Why the hell should people who think abortion is utterly disgusting be reminded of the legal mass murder of unborn babies even on the TV. Screw that. I get f*cked off enough just seeing a poster for it.

yes why not, except i think some of the more rabid pro lifers would try to burn down the TV station and the abortion clinic. Abortions ought to be available to any woman that feels they need one - in fact the gov't ought to pay for them if necessary.

Absolutely not. Abortion is murder. You don't see hit men putting ads on TV or anywhere else, do you?

The obvious (to the point of it being somewhat of a meaningless comparison) difference being that contract killing isn't legal... as CowDung said, "The decision to allow the advertisements or not should have nothing to do with supporting abortion."
As long as the advertisements are within the standards laid out by the regulatory committee, I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed.

Everyone is free to their own speech.
People who disagree with abortion have a right to express that, but so do people who agree with abortion.

Sounds like freedom of the press to me.
Why shouldn't they be allowed to advertise? Because it will offend some people? For f-ck's sake, you can't put anything anywhere these days without having someone get offended. We've gotten far too sensitive.
