Gourmet sex is good, but with children and everything that goes with it, it is hard to find the time(or energy) for it. In many cases, you almost have to plan for it. Maybe have the grandparents watch the kids for a weekend, or something like that, and just enjoy each other. It's nice when you can do that.
Plus, who could do that all of the time anyway? It's like a special treat that can be enjoyed every now and again.
